Collection:
Responsibility for your cake passes to you once it has been collected from our premises or delivery has been accepted. Once upon a time cakes accepts no liability for cakes that are damaged after they have been delivered to the agreed location.
If the cake is collected, the full responsibility for the safety of the cake is with the client and once upon a time cakes will not be responsible for any damage to the cake after it’s been collected.
Upon collection, cakes should be transported on a flat surface (preferably in an empty boot or passenger footwell - dependant on size of cake/car!). It is not recommended that cakes are put on a seat or a passenger knee as the angle can cause damage to cake.
On hot days it is recommended to travel with the air conditioning on or the windows open to keep the environment relatively cool so that the cake does not get too warm.
Allergies:
Unless otherwise specified all Once upon a Time cakes contain dairy, gluten (wheat) and eggs and are made in an environment that handles nuts, soya and alcohol.
Our kitchen is not an allergy-free kitchen
If a severe allergy is known it is the customer’s responsibility to inform that guest not to eat the cake due to the possibility of trace allergens.
Non-edible Items:
Some cakes and cupcakes contain inedible items. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure these are removed before consumption e.g. support dowels in tiered cakes, ribbons and cake banners etc.

A delivery charge is applied to every order not in the Lucan area, please contact us for prices
Terms & Conditions:
1 Every cake order has a 50% deposit upon booking, deposits are non refundable
2 We must receive the balance by the due date indicated or contract is null and void, and deposit will not be refunded
3 The date of your final payment is the final date for any changes of cake size, style or flavour. Any changes requested after this date cannot be guaranteed and maybe subjected to additional charges
4. Delivery and setup is depending on the location of the venue and will be stipulated in the final price
5. We are not responsible for any damage to the cake after setup is completed. You are responsible for providing an appropriate and secure Table and environment for the cake. Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table
6. If flowers are provided by an outside source, we will place them for an additional fee. You acknowledge that fresh flowers are not a food product, and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt or other contaminants.
7. If you or your representative elects pick up and set up the cake , you assume liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it leaves our possession. Whilst we will provide the customer with correct handling and storage instructions with each order, once collected, the responsibility for any damage through transportation lies with the customer.
8. On occasion we will photograph our cakes and we reserve the right to use and photographs for display and promotion without compensation to you.
9. Our products may come in contact or contain, milk, wheat, nuts, soy or other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold us harmless for allergic reactions.
10. Performance of this agreement is contingent upon our ability to complete the Agreement and is subject to labour disputes or strikes,accidents, acts of god, and other causes beyond our control
